I was in a bus earlier in the day and there was a bit of traffic. Although it was still moving at a slow pace, it quickly got me impatient sitting in a bus just to get to a destination that wasn't really far.

I was still trying to keep busy on my phone so as to while away the boredom I was feeling when my eye caught a man trying to take advantage of the traffic to cross from one side of the road to the other.
I didn't realize it at the time, but as I thought about it later I think it must've been his dressing that caught my attention.

You see many formally dressed people everyday, but sometimes you see people who cut quite a striking figure in a suit. I think it was his dressing I was still admiring as he proceeded to cross the road packed full of vehicle.

He was only halfway when someone called out from the side of the road he'd just left. It was someone shouting ** Hey Hey Hey** in warning but apparently the man didn't hear or was too focused on his destination ( the other side of the road).

That was when most of us in the bus saw it. There was a bike coming on the other side of the buses and the man crossing wasn't aware he was on a path of collision with a bike on the other side of the road.

He was almost through to the other side of the bus when someone immediately pulled him back, but unfortunately he still got hit slightly on the side by the bike.
Fortunately both the bike rider and the man hit
didn't sustain any injuries.

The man was still thanking the other guy who pulled him back when I heard his savior telling him that someone had been trying to warn him about the incoming bike.
The traffic began to clear, but not before I heard the man say he'd been in a hurry because he was running late for work.

It dawned on me that I wasn't really in a hurry to get to where I was going to because the time I got there wouldn't change anything.
The accident I witnessed could just have easily gone extremely bad for that man because his sole focus was on getting to work while every other thing was in his blindspot.

I sat down patiently listening to some music on my device till I got to my busstop.
