Today I come with a tutorial on how to make a star charm with recycled copper wire. For me this is a kind of prototype because I think it would look much more beautiful with quality material, I hope you like it. Due to the lack of resources for this kind of projects I have decided to use recycled materials for my creations and content on the platform.

Saludos comunidad. Es un día bonito y fresco acá en Buenaventura-Colombia. Deseo que su día esté igual, y puedan disfrutarlo al máximo porque estas calores últimamente han estado fuertes.

Hoy vengo con un tutorial de como realizar un dije de estrella con alambre de cobre reciclado. Para mí este es como una especie de prototipo ya que, creo que se vería muchísimo más hermoso con material de calidad, ojalá les guste. Debido a la falta de recursos para este tipo de proyectos he decidido usar materiales de reciclaje para mis creaciones y contenido en la plataforma.

Materials:

Recycled copper wire.

A bead.

3 sticks of the same size but thin.

Materiales:

Alambre de cobre reciclado.

Una cuenta.

3 palitos del mismo tamaño pero delgados.

Step 1:

We will take several strands of copper and make a ring, then we will twist to give it firmness. We will put the 3 sticks one on top of the other and we will start passing the wire through the first one from bottom to top, then through the second one and then the third one, we will repeat in reverse. We must form a piece as in the photo.

Note: My bead was very small so I made only 7 ends and in the separation of each one I only left a ring. If your bead is bigger you can leave more rings and it will be wider and prettier.

Paso 1:

Tomaremos varias hebras de cobre y haremos un aro, luego entorcharemos para darle firmeza. Podremos los 3 palito uno encima del otro y empezaremos pasando el alambre por el primero de abajo hacia arriba, después por el segundo y luego el tercero, repetiremos en retroceso. Debemos formar una pieza como en la foto.

Observación: Mi cuenta era muy pequeña por tanto, hice sólo 7 puntas y en la separación de cada una solo dejé un aro. Si tú cuenta es más grande puedes dejarle más aros de separación y quedará más amplia y bonita.

Step 2:

Once our piece is done we proceed to remove the two sticks from the top and center. In the remaining one we will pass a few strands of copper through the hole and take out. The copper will be inserted throughout the piece from end to end. I gave it several turns and secured. Then we open the star to shape it.

Note: If your wire is of good quality, it will be enough to pass it from end to end to shape it and close one of the ends with a ring.

As I didn't have thin height sticks I decided to use the ones from some pens I had on hand and I ended up with my hands full of ink, excuse my clumsiness.😂😂😂

Paso 2:

Una vez hecha nuestra pieza procedemos a retirar los dos palito de arriba y centro. En el restante pasaremos unas hebras de cobre por el agujero y sacaremos. El cobre quedará insertado por toda la ieza de punta a punta. Yo le dí varias vueltas y aseguré. Luego abrimos la estrella para darle forma.

Observación: Si su alambre es de buena calidad, bastará con pasarlo de punta a punta darle forma y cerrar con un aro una de las puntas.

Cómo no tenía palitos de altura finos decidí usar los de unos bolígrafos que tenía a la mano y resulté con las manos llenas de tinta, disculpen mi torpeza.😂😂😂

Step 3:

We will pass through the leftover tip the bead, center and pass backwards again making pressure, we make a knot at the tip and hide.

Note: I flattened the tips of the star to make it firmer, this wire is usually very soft so I did it. With thicker wires it looks very nice if you decide not to flatten it, but everyone can do it as they like.

Paso 3:

Pasaremos por la punta sobrante la cuenta, centraremos y pasamos nuevamente hacia atrás haciendo presión, hacemos un nudo en la punta y escondemos.

Observación: Yo aplaste las puntas de la estrella para que quedará más firme, este alambre suele ser muy blando por eso lo hice. Con alambres de calibre grueso queda muy bonito si decides no aplastarlo, igual cada quien puede hacerlo a su gusto.
