Hi, seems like customers of the disgraced crypto exchange FTX continue to face issues after several months of the collpase of the exchange resulting in the shut down of the exchange and blocking billions of funds to millions of users on the platform.

According to reports, some farmers users are getting hit by a new phishing attack on their emails registered with FTX. These attacks are said to have happened after the SIM Swapping attack impact on the claims agent in the bankruptcy proceedings, Kroll.

This attack is said to have leaked personal information of the customers, such as their account balances, home addresses and phone numbers. The customer data of a couple of other bankrupt crypto firms were also leaked in that attack according to a report.

Moreover, it was revealed that crypto account passwords and other sensitive data weren't affected but customers were warned to stay vigilant of the scammers impersonating parties in the bankruptcy. But whoever got these information is said to losing no time in crafting emails that claim to return the lost capital to the holders, if they connected a crypto wallet to their account first.

Connecting a wallet to such phising links in the email is likely to lose tokens that one has in his token holdings, as it will expectedly be asking for private key data to conduct the transfer.

In a SIM Swap attack, the scammers contact your mobile phone's carrier tricking thme into activating a SIM card they have. Phone numbers are then targeted by the scammers using victim's information to steal passwords, financial data, cryptos and other valuable stuff.

FTX said that it has temprarily frozen accounts of the effected user accounts within the customer claims portal taking a precautionary measure.

If you are also one of the effectees of the FTX collapse and are looking to get your funds back, watchout for such type of scams and ofcourse other scams as well by staying vigilant.

Thanks
