Ghostbuster! - NFT [Eng/Ger]

I once again picked up some Ethereum and possibly flushed it down the toilet. Because I treated myself to 3 ghosts from the Rareghostclub. This is an NFT Collection behind which Lordwave is. He is the creative director of the streetwear brand Pink+Dolphin. The trademark is the ghost and it looked familiar to me.

The NFT are different versions of this ghost. The same game as the Bored Apes Yacht Club and the LazyLions. Always the same ghost with different physical/object attributes. The thumbnails look spiffy.

I regularly look at NFT projects and look for unique ones. With this one, I really thought it had potential. After all, there is a well-known designer behind it and some big Instagram/Twitter accounts with many millions of followers. So someone has a reputation to lose as well. And a big account attracts other big accounts. That can lead to a nice chain reaction. Thought.

The private sale was just over and the public sale has been running since Friday. About 1.5k ghosts were mined in the private sale. In the Public Sale, which ends tonight, only about 3k ghosts have been minted so far. So we are currently at 4.3k NFT. So far, this is much less successful than I thought. The gas fees on Ethereum are currently extremely high. It sometimes costs several hundred dollars to mine a ghost. In addition to the 0.08 ETH for the ghost itself. Everything that has not been minted by today will be deleted. So if we only have 4.5k ghosts, there won't be a single additional ghost. Crass. I think I would have solved it differently.

Anyway, I got myself 3 ghosts. I paid a total of about 0.34 ETH. A nice chunk of money.

Whether I will get this money back is uncertain. I am sceptical. But I will simply hodle. As always, you need patience. And if nothing stays, at least I'll get a cool little picture. So far we only have placeholders, but when the Public Sale is over, the real NFT will be revealed. Maybe I'll get a rare ghost 😊

By the way, @daltono is on the rareghostclub team and is promoting it. He has the status of Club Ambassador. Through him I first became aware of the project.

However, I do not recommend anyone here to invest their money/ETH in NFT! NFTs involve an extremely high risk! I am merely documenting my work.

Ich habe mal wieder etwas Ethereum in die Hand genommen und es möglicherweise das Klo heruntergespült. Denn ich habe mir 3 Geister des Rareghostclubs gegönnt. Das ist eine NFT Collection hinter der Lordwave steckt. Dieser ist der Creative Director der Streetwear Marke Pink+Dolphin. Markenzeichen ist der Geist und er kam mir auch irgendwie bekannt vor.

Die NFT sind verschiedenen Versionen dieses Geistes. Das selbe Spiel wie beim Bored Apes Yacht Club und den LazyLions. Immer der gleiche Geist mit verschiedenen körperlichen/gegenständlichen Attributen. Die Vorschaubilder sehen schick aus.

Ich schaue mir regelmäßig NFT Projekte an und suche nach einzigartigen Projekten. Bei diesem dachte ich wirklich, dass es Potential hat. Schließlich steckt ein bekannter Designer dahinter und einige große Instagram/Twitter Accounts mit vielen Millionen Followern. Da hat also auch jemand einen Ruf zu verlieren. Und ein großer Account zieht andere große Accounts an. Das kann zu einer schönen Kettenreaktion führen. Dachte ich.

Der Private Sale war gerade vorbei und seit Freitag läuft der Public Sale. Im Private Sale wurden circa 1,5k Geister gemintet. Im Public Sale, der heute Nacht endet, wurden bisher gerade mal um die 3k Geister gemintet. So stehen wir aktuell bei 4,3k NFT. Das ist bisher wesentlich weniger erfolgreich als ich dachte. Wobei aktuell die Gas Fees auf Ethereum extrem hoch sind. Es kostet teilweise mehrere hundert Dollar einen Geist zu minten. Zusätzlich zu den 0,08 ETH für den Geist selbst. Alles was bis heute nach nicht gemintet wird, wird gelöscht. Wenn wir also nur 4,5k Geister haben, wird es auch keinen einzigen Geist zusätzlich geben. Krass. Ich glaube ich hätte das anders gelöst.

Ich habe mir jedenfalls 3 Geister geholt. Insgesamt habe ich circa 0,34 ETH bezahlt. Eine schöne Stange Geld.

Ob ich dieses Geld wieder reinhole ist ungewiss. Ich bin skeptisch. Werde aber einfach hodlen. Man braucht wie immer Geduld. Und wenn nichts bleibt, so bekomme ich zumindest ein cooles Bildchen. Bisher haben wir zwar nur Platzhalter, aber wenn der Public Sale vorbei ist, werden die richtigen NFT enthüllt. Vielleicht bekomme ich ja eine seltenen Geist 😊

@daltono ist übrigens im Team von rareghostclub und wirbt dafür. Er hat den Status eines Club Ambassadors. Durch ihn wurde ich auf das Projekt erst aufmerksam.

Ich empfehle hier aber niemandem sein Geld/ETH in NFT zu investieren! NFT bergen ein extrem hohes Risiko! Ich dokumentiere lediglich mein Schaffen.
