These photos are from a strange long abdomen wasp that we found inside the house, it has the MOST painful sting of any of the wasps around here in BC Canada.
Unfortunately, while waiting for my microscopic camera to arrive, the specimen degraded due to my lack of a proper specimen box.
This creature still provides us with some interesting features, I like the way the insect's eyes are protected, just imagine if we had that over our eyes, it would be COOL!
This shows the insect's Third Eye... Wait, what???
You can see evidence of Nature's bad-assery in the above photo, the mandible clearly shows the large capacity to deliver venom through the orange coloured channel. Dang, glad he didn't get my kids!
