What did you take to become better?
Like I popped some magic pill full of fairy dust, pony hair and candy canes and sudddenly felt better one day?
Truthfully, I get asked this question quite a bit and it brings me back to being in that exact same space. The place where I was desperate for help, for answers, for some magic pill I could pop or even some surgery I could do to make it all stop (ya, I was that desperate).
When you’re in pain day in and day out, any type of a quick fix is a complete God-send. You find yourself living on a wire, ready to go when any opportunity for relief comes up.
The reality though? Theres no magic fairy dust, pony hair, candy cane pill. God bless the person who comes up with something in the future. But sis, it isn’t here yet.
What is here is you.
And it’s going to take you putting in the work and doing the stuff to get yourself well. I’m not talking big appointments, seeing specialists and having procedures done.
I’m talking day in and day out, minute by minute, taking care of yourself. Drinking all the water, eating healthy, getting sleep, setting boundaries, moving your body (because you love it, not hate it), etc.
All of the second by second actions is where you will start to make your change. Little by little, second by second you will get there, but it starts with you and a decision to invest in yourself. To love yourself enough to put in the work that no one sees and get it done.
I believe in you and am sending you all of the dang water cheers!
