I've run past this maybe 50 or 60 times, across the freeway and the river seen it's backside, the unattractive side, the side whose only true purpose is keeping our the noise of the passing traffic, the side that the affluent people on the 'good' side of freeway likely objected to, in the unjustified 'destroying our view' defense.
But this side, in the government endorsed reworking of forgotten land, here there is beauty, brutal beauty yes, but still beauty. Point of diminishing perspective art teacher would appreciate, zinc, flat light.
And even just a little bit of Japan, ultra modern amongst the grand history, and the blander 'outer suburbs' dropped into a park for use to two weeks and then sold off to the hopeful.
It's all just so unexpected.
