OpenPics is an app that aggregates a lot of free image sources in a single (desktop) app, available for Windows and Linux. It aggregates images from a lot of sources like Pixabay, Free Range Stock, Unsplash and many others into a single app. The images have a download option, and a clear link to the license so you can confirm the license for yourself before using the image. With that said, a lot of the sources that the app aggregates have images that you can use for commercial applications without any royalties. It's an app that has greatly simplified my image searching experience.
I'm sure that most of you know the importance of including good images in your posts on Steemit(or any other blog). Images are much more attractive than words, and often a post gets a lot of upvotes just because of a flashy main image that draws in a lot of people.Fortunately, a lot of free image services like pexels and pixabay have come up over the last few years that provide royalty-free images without any restrictions on commercial use. Even photographers have come around to understanding the advantages of giving a more liberal license to their work. But still, not all sites have all images, and so sometimes you have to look at multiple sites before you find the perfect image. Overall, finding the right image is still a time-consuming affair- until now.
OpenPics solves all these issues, and is something that you should absolutely check out.
