My morning is laden with joy
Looking fixedly at your face
As you sleep peacefully
Like a cherub
I wish the world is half peaceful
Like your face depicts
Wearing calmness as skin.
No doubts, your presence
Quenches my thirst
Lustful as it may seem
But her goodbye smiles and kisses
Leave stabs in my heart
Like an unfaithful lover,
She always had a penchant
Of leaving, stealthily
Before dawn
Leaving my joy short-lived
But today, here in bed
Lay my love and I
And scribbling this love or maybe lust
In this dense ink
I think about taking you down the aisle
As a surety of your staying.
