Here now, I'm back with the another post a trip to Devidhura's Temple's located at Champawat district in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand.😊😊

Devidhura's Maa Barahi Dham is one of the few Vaishnavi temples in India. According to the legend, when Hiranakshya was taking the earth to Hades, Lord Vishnu took the form of Barah after hearing the compassionate call of the earth and saved the earth from drowning by taking it in his balm. Since then Prithvi Swaroopa is called Vaishnavi Barahi.

Bagwal (Bagwal in devidhura) is played here every year.

Every year Bagwal is organized in Devidhura temple. Bagwal is also called stone war i.e. stone war. Every year on the day of Rakshabandhan, thousands of people reach here not only from the country but also from abroad to see this stone war that takes place in Devidhura. Bagwal Walik, Lamgadia, Chamyal, Gahadwal are between the Khams. These four holes are divided into two groups. And throw stones at each other fiercely. Generally, the Bagwal lasts for 15 minutes to 30 minutes. In which the devotees who came to see with the people of both the groups are also injured.

According to one of the most popular story, in ancient times, male sacrifice was done in the temple of Maa Barahi to please the mother. Out of these four khams, every year a person was chosen and he has to lay down his life before the mother. Now this practice continued year after year.

Because of which an old woman of Chamyal Khame refused to sacrifice her grandson. In the Devidhura mandir, we will organize a Bagwal and as soon as the blood of a human body is shed in the Bagwal, then the Bagwal will be ended. And since then Bagwal is organized as an alternative to human sacrifice.

During the time when there is an exciting war during Bagwal, during that time the priest of Devidhura temple worships the mother and when she blows the conch shell in the field, the war ends. One special thing about Bagwal is also this. It is believed that those who get hurt in this do not need treatment, but it is considered a blessing of the mother.

Miracles of Barahi Devi Temple

Friends, Devidhura temple is as beautiful as its miracles are discussed, there are many such mysteries that are still unsolved about the temple, so today I'm are going to tell you about some such mysteries. Any devotee who goes to a temple, what is his wish, his wish is that he should see God in the temple, he should have darshan of that idol, to meet whom he has gone to that destination to take shelter but Devidhura the temple is such a temple where one cannot see the installed idol of the goddess.

It is said that whoever tried to see the idol in Devidhura temple lost his eyesight. Along with this, two huge stitches present in the temple are also the center of attraction.

One day when one of the panadava's Bheem is playing chaopal with Maa suddenly while playing chaopal Maa get hide in somewhere then the panadava Bheem find the Maa everywhere but he could not find her. So, then finally Bheem's think that Maa is **under the Shila (rock) then he destroyed the shila (rock) with his gada (bludgeon) that's why that rock is called by the name of Bheem Shila

History of Barahi Devi Temple.

The history of this Devidhura temple of Maa Barahi is also very ancient. All of us who have faith in Hinduism and know a little about Hinduism know that Lord Vishnu is the protector of the earth or this creation and has taken different incarnations to protect the dharma on earth and the inhabitants of the earth. have taken. There are 10 incarnations of Lord Vishnu in Hindu Puranas, in which one incarnation of Lord Varaha is also mentioned. It is said that Adharmaraj and Hiranyaksha take the earth to the Hades, when the earth is completely submerged in water, then on hearing the call of the earth, Lord Vishnu takes the incarnation of Varaha and brings the earth up and the same goddess as the earth is called Varahi. Devi (Devidhura Mandir) was called.
