WanChain 2.0 is available now and is fully connected to the Ethereum blockchain. WanChain claims they “will eventually allow for seamless integration with almost any blockchain in existence” and enables a number of use cases, including decentralized exchanges, identity verification, and medical records storage.

Nano’s developer update this week responds to scalability concerns raised by users after heavy spam on Sunday, detailing their plans to optimize the network and reduce vote traffic. The update also includes a job opening for an iOs Android developer and a marketing plan to increase their presence in the Asian markets.

Last week we reported on a rumor that Samsung had partnered with CopPay and had begun accepting payments in crypto. Turns out, not so much. Samsung officially denied the existence of a partnership in a statement. For its part, CopPay insists the partnership is legitimate, and that the confusion is due to a “communication error” with a reseller.

The Chinese city of Nanjing is launching a $1 billion dollar fund to promote the growth and adoption of traditional businesses looking to implement blockchain solutions, and to fund other crypto projects. The funding comes from a mix of venture capital firms and the city government.

The city of London has added a cryptocurrency training course for its police officers that will teach them “how to detect, seize and investigate the use of cryptocurrencies.” The officers requested the availability of such a course to help prepare them to work with digital assets when investigating financial crimes.

South Korean telecom company KT has launched its own blockchain, claiming a current rate of 2,500 TPS with potential to scale to 100,000 TPS by 2019. The KT blockchain will focus on identity verification, data roaming, and energy trading.
