Metamask is working on the development of Mustekala, an Ethereum light node, which will improve data availability and transparency. It will be available for Chrome, but no timeline has been given.

Tron has announced TronLink, a browser extension that allows users to interact with the Tron ecosystem, much in the same way Metamask enables Ethereum interaction. (Side note: It happens to be co-developed by one of the brains behind our very own ICOSim game! It will be available July 31, 2018.

The EOS blockchain now has a dapp, Novusphere, a Reddit-like content sharing forum. Anyone can share content to the “anon” channel, though posting to other categories will require the Scatter plugin.

Coinbase has formed a political action committee, which will raise money to spend on U.S. political elections. Coinbase has previously donated to the campaign of former Obama advisor Brian Forde, the “crypto candidate” running for Congress.

Akropolis, a decentralized pensions project, will be hosting a “Community Quest” initiative with prizes totalling $50,000. The game begins on July 24th and is comprised of 10 rounds of daily “challenges,” the nature of which is not specified. Interested users can sign up to participate using the link above.

Ross Ulbricht, the convicted Silk Road operator, has started a Twitter account, an impressive feat for a man in federal prison without internet access. In reality, Ulbricht has been sending letters to friends and family to be tweeted. His first tweet indicates he’ll be looking for support in fighting his two concurrent life sentences.
