Tonight on #beersaturday I am finishing up my variety pack of IPAs brewed by Wicked Weed Brewing of Asheville, North Carolina.
First of all, how many of you actually know what the word "pernicious" means?
I mean I have heard the word, and with a good spell check, I can spell the word, but to say that I actually know what the word means . . . not so much. I think it means feisty or resilient, like a boxer fighting outside of his weight class.
The truth of the matter is, I really don't know the meaning of the word and I am just guessing.
So I am way wrong about the definition of the word pernicious.
Holy crap! And I am drinking this sh*t??????
One has wonder, why in God's name, anyone would name a beer, intended for human consumption, pernicious.
Is it just me, or are any of you slightly worried for the old @handofzara as he ventures forth on this #beersaturday?
Pernicious? Harmful in a subtle way?
BEER NAME: Pernicious
STYLE: Indian Pale Ale
ABV: 7.3%
BREWER: Wicked Weed Brewing of Asheville, North Carolina
APPEARANCE: Amber, Foamy thick head and cloudy
AROMA: hops with subtle citrus
TASTE: well balanced hops with the tang of citrus
MOUTHFEEL: lighter body for an IPA with a clean finish
Alright this is a smooth brew for an IPA. And if I had all three in the variety pack in one session, at 7.3% ABV I think it would do some serious harm in a pernicious way.
TRIVIA TIME!
I have a #beersaturday tradition of asking a trivia question. And the first person to answer correctly in the COMMENTS wins a BEER TOKEN!
This past month I have featured an INDIA PALE ALE from a variety pack by Wicked Weed Brewing of Asheville, North Carolina.
QUESTION: What is the Capitol of India?
Good luck and I will see y'all next #beersaturday.
