So I had one daughter picking up her dog after a two week visit and another daughter dropping her dog off for the weekend.
My son got wind of the gathering and showed up looking for some FREE BEER.
Just kidding both of my daughters are highly successful and financially independent. My son is in College and therefore has his free beer pass anytime!
So I took them all to a local brewery beer and . . . . . .
One of the ODD LAWS in North Carolina is that Craft Breweries are not allowed to serve food. Crazy right? Well, where there is a will, there is a way.
Most craft breweries allow FOOD TRUCKS to park in their parking lots and permit beer lovers to bring the food into the brewery. See technically speaking the brewery is not serving food.
The brewery we went to has a pizzeria next door that will even deliver to your table in the brewery.
Enough of the North Carolina legal lesson this is a BEER post.
We had several different beers which, if I reviewed all of them, it would render this post unbearably long.
BEER NAME: Sonora Pass
STYLE: Pale Ale
Brewer: Incendiary Brewing of Winston-Salem, North Carolina
ABV: 5.8%
APPEARANCE: Red with nice foamy head
AROMA: Hops
Taste: A little hoppy with a good balance of toasted malts
MOUTHFEEL: medium body with a dry finish
HANGOVER FACTOR: I suspect that this is a dangerous brew to have more than two
