Back in the saddle again this #beersaturday, after a way too long holiday visit from my Cousin Rona.

How was your week? How is 2024 hitting you so far?

I have to tell ya, everyday when I wake up and read the "news", it seems there is always another reason to go back to bed or count the hours until I can have a beer.

Thus far I have managed to carry on until it is 5 o'clock, at least somewhere it 5 o'clock.

Does anyone else miss the days of Jimmy Buffett and the Parrot Heads roaming the country making everyone want to be a beach bum on the Florida Keys?

I sure do.

Seems as if every day there is a new outrage and a new rule that you are not permitted to express your outrage at the outrageous less you might offend the those who committed the outrage in the first place. Interesting times indeed.

It does seem to me that lately I have been leaning a little heavy on the IPAs for that little extra kick and tonight is no different.

I know another IPA from Wiseman Brewery but ya see, it is one of my local breweries and I try to keep things local, at least on #beersaturday.

I think sometime during the week I should post my daily drinkers, #whatyoudrinkingthisweekwednesday? :)

Just to recap what I concluded about the good old USA these past few weeks:

1. our treasury is empty
2. our armories are empty
3. the Army can't recruit Rednecks and Hillbillies
4. the "President" does not know where he is
5. homeless roam the streets until suddenly they disappear
6. our borders are wide open
7. no money to shelter the homeless Americans but plenty of money to house border crossers
8. most our government is full of kiddy diddlers
9. the US Military decided, on its own, to bomb yet another country in the Middle East
10. cow farts are causing global warming
11. the "shot" was neither safe nor effective
12. the World is slowly but more rapidly ditching the US Fed Not

When will the madness end?

Hopefully sometime after my third or fourth "Be Your Future".

BREWER: Wiseman Brewing Co. of Winston-Salem North Carolina
APPEARANCE: medium Amber, cloudy and pours with a foamy head
AROMA: hops and citrus
TASTE: hoppy with a good balance of hops
MOUTHFEEL: medium body, carbonates well, hops linger

So how are things going in your neck of the woods?

Everything fine? Am I suffering from post Rona pessimism? Or are we really in for a whirlwind?
