This Eid is also called the Eid of Sacrifice because the able-bodied people sacrifice animals to gain the satisfaction of the great Lord Almighty. Animal sacrifices are performed on this day according to the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), the father of the nation in the Muslim world.

For the second time this year, we have the gift of sacrifice. It is not permissible to offer sacrifices before the Eid prayers, but it is obligatory to offer sacrifices at the end of the prayers.
