US dollar against

The US dollar exchange rate against the rupiah continued to strengthen for several weeks, until it had reached Rp 14,000. At the close yesterday, Friday (5/11/2018) the US dollar began to step down to the position of Rp 13,950.
In an interactive talk show titled Youth X Public Figure in Epicentrum, Jakarta, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati asked participants about the strengthening of the US dollar against the rupiah. Responding to this, Sri Mulyani explained related exchange rate, whoever the President and Finance Minister as long as the inflation rate is still higher than the world inflation rate, the value of the rupiah will still fall.
"As long as our inflation (Indonesia) is above world inflation, we will certainly lower the rupiah value," Sri Mulyani said in a talk show in Epicentrum, Jakarta, Saturday (5/12/2018).
