Today I want to unveil to you the uniqueness of motherhood, and one of them is THEIR ABILITY TO RECALL.
so many indices show that mothers tends to recall any information concerning the children than the fathers. Mothers can remember everything said about the children during pregnancy whether the information is said to them directly or to their husbands, but mothers are good at recalling every information said during pregnancy towards their children and they are careful to see the the manifestation of such information.
Genesis 25:23
The Lord said to her, “Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated; one people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.”
Rebekah was so anxious of this information, she would recall exactly what was said when she was pregnant. she was keeping watch of this information. To her she was eager to do anything within her reach to see the execution of the information she got.
Genesis 27:15-17
Then Rebekah took the best clothes of Esau her older son, which she had in the house, and put them on her younger son Jacob. She also covered his hands and the smooth part of his neck with the goatskins. Then she handed to her son Jacob the tasty food and the bread she had made.
Every action Rebekah took was because she was still recalling the information she had before the birth of her children.
Luke 1:13: But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.
Even when the information was given the father (Zechariah) direct by the angel but he tends to forget. Look at the uniqueness of motherhood in recalling information concerning their children. when crisis arose pertaining to what name should be given to the child, the father when he was dumped because he doubted the power of God. The mother (Rebekah) was very mindful and sensitive enough to recall the very saying of God concerning the the child.
Luke 1:59-61
On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him after his father Zechariah, but his mother spoke up and said, “No! He is to be called John.”
They said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who has that name.”
A women remembers the day she took in, she can remember vividly knows who is responsible, time, place and date of birth of her child. this is a great outstanding features of women in every aspect of a woman.
This is a potential men are deprived of.
