Today, the Yonex Sunrise Bangladesh International Badminton Challenge 2019 is inaugurated in an atmosphere of extreme excitement and joyful environment. Bangladesh Badminton Federation organizes this competition every year to improve the badminton of the country and to give the chance of Bangladeshi players to play with international ranking players to improve their skills and gain some experience. Under the auspices of the Bangabandhu National Stadium Complex, Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Indoor Stadium, Minister of State for Youth and Sports Mr. Zahid Ahsan Russell announced the inauguration as the chief guest.
In this splendid international competition, 168 badminton players from 19 countries, including Bangladesh, are participating. However, the position of Bangladesh in comparison to the participating countries is very weak. Yet, the organizers think that win / lose is not a big deal, but the experience that the players are getting is a great achievement. So Bangladesh is not worried about win / loss, but everyone will try to play better.
The logo of the competition was unveiled at the start of the event. Then the chief guest and the special guest group presented their speeches. Finally, the traditions of the country are sought after, with various artists displaying their beautiful dances. At the end of the cultural event, the event was dedicated in the name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of the independence of Bangladesh.
However, I pride myself on being involved with this wonderful initiative. It is my belief that the Bangladeshi badminton players will be able to build their confidence through this competition and subsequently utilize this experience and bring a good reputation for the country.
