Salient attributes of Islamic personality

Imam Dhahbi (may Allah have mercy on him) says:

There are a few salient attributes to recognize perfect adherence to Islam:

Cultivating the attribute of wara (the attribute of avoiding doubts) in fasting and conversation, guarding the tongue and mentioning Allah strictly.

Keeping less contact with common people and crying over sins

Reciting the Qur'an with caution and recitation, worshiping and obeying Allah and displeasing the self for His pleasure and rebuking Him.

Establishing obligatory fasts frequently, observing Tahajjud prayer, and creating the attribute of modesty (reluctance) for Muslims.

To be kind, to forgive others' mistakes, to meet with a smiling face, and to spend despite disagreements and quarrels.

Saying the truth gently and seriously despite feeling bitter, commanding goodness and getting into the habit of forgiveness

Refraining from the ignorant (i.e. ignoring their mistakes and not taking revenge), guarding the borders and fighting enemies.

Performing Hajj to Baitullah, using pure things on various occasions and offering Istighfar at the time of Suhr (before Fajr prayer).

Among the many good qualities of the saints of Allah and the true followers of the Sunnah of Muhammad (PBUH), these are some prominent qualities.

May Allah Almighty end us with such good qualities, Amen.
