Tied, chained, imprisoned and controlled. I have always been alone and about that I have had no choice.
In me, the memory of a little girl shines blindingly, illuminates my thoughts with a strong explosion. The girl cries, the girl suffers, no one listens to her, no one saves her; she hides under my shell, trying to run away from this hell, waiting for the moment when her soul, our soul, will finally be set free.

As usual, I started sketching the girl, improving the lines layer after layer until the body was correctly sketched.
Once the sketch was ready, I proceeded to fill in the shape of the character in a new layer under the outline, establishing the base colors of the illustration and giving a caramel tone to the girl's skin.
I said goodbye to the warm colors of the previous background, and I welcomed the dark background with high contrast and more enhancement for the main character, also I was defining the direction of the folds of fabric that sprout from the inside of her.
Where to start talking about? the clouds, I first sketched and drew them as simple as possible and then added a texture to make them look like they were made of cardboard.
The chains, I have a wonderful brush that draws them in a very realistic way just by applying it once, but this only gives me the shape, as for the texture, illumination and volume it's completely up to me.
The fabric, this is one of the most complicated things to do, but there is not much to talk about, it is based on choosing three shades of color, light, medium and dark, look for references of fabrics and go drawing each fold to give dynamism to the piece.
As final touches, I took special attention to the girl's body, I felt her a little disproportionate in terms of bust and head, so I adjusted her according to the perspective of the illustration, making her head smaller and her hair tidier. On the other hand I used a soft light filter to add more light to her skin and create a strong contrast with the background.
