I dedicate this poem to a lady i encountered in a mental home, she relived her life's story to me in few words and I've summarized it in this poem.
The struggle for sanity that they go through everyday, am. Overwhelmed.
Anyways here the poem.

My world in shattered pages
My thoughts in scribbled writing
Pictures, blur
Visions recurring...
I struggle for sanity
Breathe is shaky
More like gasps!

Never been asthmatic
So maybe is a panic attack!
Started with that thought.
Of an experience I'd like to forget
Pages I thought I closed
Maybe I should have sealed em

Loosing balance
Grounds shaking,
Just breathe baby... I heard
Slowly gathering myself
I felt the sting of the needles
And I slipped into nothingness.

Bright lights, awakened
I feel nothing... Numbness
The needles make me forget
Buh it also kills part of me
Each sting,
My heart's portion it takes.

This solitude,
My solitude...
Aura of dead'ness'
looms in the dark
Endless circles
An inch away from insanity.

Never discriminate against a mental patient, you have no idea what they live through daily.
