If there is no background around the team members the chances are the ICO is a scam. Get to know the team and whether their previous experiences are well suited for the project at hand.
Read the whitepaper
If the ICO does not have a whitepaper, it's another sign of a scam.
Feasibility
Is the projects fundraising goal realistic? Are they offering significant discounts to early investors?. Is there a need for the project? These questions enable you to identify whether the project is likely to succeed or if it is a money grabbing opportunity.
