Scrobble saving our memories

This morning I saw the new post from Hive account@acidyo, thanks to Hive account@davideownzall that cited me in the comments. Indeed, it was an interesting post for all of us, a post about movies and TV shows. The post is here . Basically, his new tool, Scrobble, which I tested earlier to try the real sync with YouTube videos, now scans a user's search for TV Shows and movie reviews that the user posted over the years and creates an association in the tool with the movie's description. For example, I posted about the "Devil in Ohio" TV show in 2022 and now if you search for this show in the tool, you will find out that I watched and also a link to the review. Now I just need to learn how to navigate through all the content uploaded there.

Talking about this show "Devil in Ohio," another interesting subject that the tools help: to unbury lost memories. I didn't even remember this show and even less my text about it. So I watched the trailer and read what I wrote. And some memories started to show up, not all of them. For sure, it is the type of TV show that I would be watching: horror or psychological horror. In the end, something that I remembered while reading my text is that I was expecting something supernatural, and in the end it didn't have much- just a bunch of religious radicals who believe in the devil.

I finished my review thinking that it could have a season 2 of this show, but in the end it was just an all-in-one show by Netflix that was never intended to have a season 2. Reading a bit to remind me how it ended brought me back to how creative the plot was and how a person can really kidnap another one from their own reality, in this case, bending a psychiatrist to abandon her family to be with you.

Going back to the interesting topic, I can now try to revise my cinematography memory and even re-read my reviews in different moments in my life. I think that is one of the goals the Scrobble is allowing us to do. It is a front end where it looks like a photo album of memories about our TV and movie reviews, enhancing the limits of our brain's memory. I will spend some time now that 51 posts that I wrote are there and check what has been hidden by time.

In a moment where people in Hive are just criticizing everything, it is good to see new things appearing despite the moment. That is an opportunity to make the Hive experience much better, especially if you like Movies and TV shows.

Falando sobre a série "Devil in Ohio", outro assunto interessante que as ferramentas ajudam a abordar: desenterrar memórias perdidas. Eu nem me lembrava dessa série, muito menos do meu texto sobre ela. Então, assisti ao trailer e reli o que escrevi. E algumas lembranças começaram a surgir, não todas. Com certeza, é o tipo de série que eu assistiria: terror ou terror psicológico. No fim, algo que me lembrei enquanto relia meu texto é que eu esperava algo sobrenatural, e no fim não tinha muito — apenas um bando de radicais religiosos que acreditam no diabo.

Terminei minha resenha pensando que poderia haver uma segunda temporada, mas no fim das contas era apenas uma série da Netflix que nunca teve a intenção de ter uma segunda temporada. Relendo um pouco para me lembrar do final, me lembrei de como o enredo era criativo e de como uma pessoa pode realmente sequestrar outra de sua própria realidade, neste caso, levando uma psiquiatra a abandonar sua família para ficar com você.

Voltando ao tópico interessante, agora posso tentar revisar minha memória cinematográfica e até reler minhas críticas de diferentes momentos da minha vida. Acho que esse é um dos objetivos que o Scrobble nos permite alcançar. É uma interface que funciona como um álbum de fotos com nossas lembranças sobre filmes e séries, ampliando os limites da nossa memória. Vou dedicar um tempo agora que meus 51 posts estão lá para ver o que ficou escondido pelo tempo.
