The story introduces us to Anjali, who comes from a wealthy family and Dev, a young man from a much more modest background
Anjali and Dev love each other deeply and plan to get married Dev sees Anjali as the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with, and Anjali has also given him her whole heart
But the problem lies with Anjali’s family
Her father Narendra, doesn’t approve of Dev, especially when he sees Dev’s financial situation and the way he handles certain things. He believes Dev isn’t a man worthy of his daughter
Anjali tries to convince her father to give Dev a chance but Narendra refuses to change his mind.
As Anjali continues to try to save their relationship the situation becomes increasingly difficult. Finally under pressure from her family Anjali makes a heartbreaking decision she breaks up with Dev.
Dev is deeply devastated by this decision Despite everything, he promises that one day he’ll return.
But a painful event follows when Dev tells his mother Jhanvi what happened and how much he’s suffering because of Anjali, his mother suffers a terrible shock that turns her life upside down
After Anjali and Dev’s relationship ends Anjali’s family chooses a man named Ram Verma for her
Ram is a calm, kind man guided by strong principles Even though Anjali hasn’t yet managed to get Dev out of her heart Ram doesn’t pressure her
He understands that Anjali isn’t yet ready to truly accept this marriage
Ram decides to respect her feelings and gives her time to adjust to this new life
At first Anjali is sad because she’s still thinking about Dev. But Ram consistently shows her patience respect and kindness
Ram lives with his family, including Vibha, Bobby, and Nikki.
Some members of his family don’t like Anjali and try to cause trouble in her marriage
Vibha tries to pressure Anjali, while Bobby does something that makes Anjali very angry
But Ram clearly stands up for Anjali.
When he understands what’s going on, Ram realizes that Anjali hasn’t done anything wrong
He stands up for her and this allows Anjali to discover a new side of Ram’s personality
She then begins to understand that Ram isn’t the man she initially thought he was
Seeing Ram’s patience and the way he always protects her dignity Anjali’s feelings gradually begin to change
She realizes that love isn’t just about the memories she shared with Dev.
Ram gives her confidence respect and a life in which she feels safe
Eventually Anjali realizes that she has truly fallen in love with Ram
Ram, for his part realizes that Anjali now holds a truly special place in his heart
The two of them start a new life together and become a couple who truly love each other
Three years pass
Anjali and Ram are now living a happy life and celebrating their third wedding anniversary
But on that day someone from Anjali’s past returns:
Dev is no longer the poor young man Anjali once knew
He has become an extremely wealthy businessman with great power and financial resources
When he sees Anjali again Dev decides to rekindle the love they once shared

Dev discovers that Ram has taken on significant debt for a new project. He buys out those debts and eventually even takes control of Ram’s house
Ram also faces serious problems with his business and the situation becomes so difficult that he and Anjali are forced to leave behind the life they had built up to that point
Everything they owned begins to slip away
But Ram doesn’t blame Anjali for anything
He continues to believe that true love means staying by the side of the person you love even when things get tough
Anjali, too stands by Ram’s side
Meanwhile the people who had once caused Ram trouble are beginning to realize their mistakes
Even Vibha is starting to regret the way she treated Ram.
The situation becomes even more emotional when Anjali discovers she’s pregnant
This makes everything that’s happening even more significant and difficult
Anjali meets with Dev and asks him to stop interfering in her life and Ram’s
She makes it clear to him that her past love is behind her and that she now has a life and someone she truly loves.
Finally, Ram confronts Dev face-to-face
But instead of reacting with anger or hatred Ram speaks to him calmly
Ram understands that they have both loved Anjali, but he wants Dev to understand that love is neither a possession nor something that can be forced upon someone
Ram shows Dev compassion and sincere love
It is at that moment that Dev begins to understand what he was doing

A woman named Sheetal, who works with Dev and has secretly loved him for a long time also appears in his life
Dev decides to give Sheetal a chance and the two of them begin a new chapter in their lives
Finally Dev and Sheetal leave for London, while Anjali and Ram watch them go
Dev finally realizes that sometimes, true love means letting the person you love find happiness with the person they’ve chosen
Anjali and Ram, for their part continue their life together and build their new family
Personally Dhadkan is a romantic movie that really touched me
What I particularly liked was that the film doesn’t portray love from just one perspective At first you feel the love between Anjali and Dev, but when Ram enters her life the story gradually becomes one of trust respect and a love that grows over time
Dev’s return several years later was the part that interested me the most, because he thought he could easily win Anjali back but he discovers that her heart now belongs to someone else.
I also really liked Ram, because even when his life starts to fall apart he always tries to handle the situation calmly
