This morning felt very cool. A light rain had been falling incessantly since last night, bringing with it the distinctive scent of wet earth and the soothing sound of dripping water. The chilly air made my body reluctant to get out of bed. The blanket felt so comfortable, and my eyes yearned to stay closed longer. It was already around ten in the morning when I finally forced myself to get up and get ready for the day.
After washing my face and drinking a glass of warm water, I decided to go to the store to buy some household supplies. The streets were still wet, with puddles in several spots reflecting the gray sky. People around me seemed to be going about their daily routines calmly, as if the rain brought a peaceful atmosphere to this late morning.
Upon arriving home, I immediately resumed the sewing work that had piled up from yesterday. Thread, fabric, and the sewing machine were once again my constant companions throughout the afternoon. Outside, the sky was slowly starting to clear, although a light drizzle still occasionally dripped onto the roof. Time seemed to fly by while I was focused on my work, and before I knew it, it was already evening.
After all the sewing was done, I took a moment to rest. The afternoon air was fresh, and I decided to take a walk around the rice fields. The vast expanse of greenery, the damp air from the rain, and the reviving sounds of birds made the atmosphere feel lively. The view to the horizon evoked a sense of calm, as if all fatigue had vanished.
As dusk approached, I stopped by a stall selling takjil (snacks) (breakfasts). A row of snacks and sweet drinks were displayed on the table, tempting my appetite after a long day of activities. I bought some to take home, enjoying my slow pace under the orange sky.
When I arrived home, the sun was slowly setting in the west. The golden orange light reflected off the still-damp rice paddies, creating a truly beautiful sight.
