That's for Identity Theft. No one is blacklisted from trying to hide who they are if they're just a normal person. But if I say "I'm the owner of Business XYZ" and am publishing posts with the material of that business I should be able to verify that I am who I say I am. The person doesn't have to do anything excessive; we offer myriad channels. They can send a DM on established social media, mention Hive on social media, send an email, anything at all that links their Hive profile from the established online presence of that entity.

We have a huge number of cases where it's ID theft. In some cases victims are people whose entire livelihood can be affected by it (for example, artists). A normal person isn't expected to verify their identity. But a person who claims to represent or be someone and use the information of that person or entity is. We've had some pretty bad cases of this happening. In one case, the scammer actually created a bunch of fake social media accounts for their victim.
