Like if someone posts "I'll kill you" and it's a real threat? Hivewatchers as a project doesn't interfere as this is a matter that requires expertise beyond what volunteers can achieve. Hivewatchers members are not trained law enforcement types; they're just practiced experts in assessing things on chain such as plagiarism. It's basically just extreme familiarity with the abuse system on chain and what accounts typically do. What I do isn't always tied to Hivewatchers.
Normally in these types of cases when something is actually going to the police I'll ask a few ex-cops that we have in the userbase to offer some input. I also have some experience with this as I had a large community prior to my involvement with blockchains. We don't usually see this as a threat case but instances of theft are not uncommon. For example, there was one where a boyfriend took his ex-girlfriend's funds and moved them all to Monero. Myself and one of the mentioned ex-cops helped her figure out how to save the evidence and present it to the police and her lawyer.
