When I joined my company I had a lot of expectations from me and my profile at the company. I was determined to work hard and give my 100 percent in whatever I do and overcome every challenge I have to face It was my first job after all. I still remember the day I was briefed about my work in my company , I was in accounts payable profile and had to basically look after the invoices that were to be paid in a given period of time. I was happy with the work that I was doing but after a few months passed I started feeling bored of the same work that I used to do every day. There was nothing new and all the challenges that came were also repetitive in nature so they dint feel like a challenge any more.
My company is basically a superstore which operates in almost all the countries of Europe and Japan and India so we had different teams that took care of accounts payable process of different countries. So I asked my manager to move me into another team that handled the process of a different country. But again in two months I got bored of that process as well. Again I moved to a different team in search of some new challenges. This story kept on repeating until I had knowledge of 8 different processes. But it was no fun for me.
Since I was holding process knowledge of so many different countries I got an offer from Process Excellence Team. This team is basically responsible for ensuring that all the invoices that are paid were processed correctly. It was more or less like quality auditing. I liked this role but there was no satisfaction because there was lack of people interaction. So I started searching for something new again. My manager spotted my search and asked if could transit a four eye principle process from Switzerland. As an Indian it was like a dream for me so I instantly told him yes.

I flew to Switzerland which was a totally different experience for me, something that is impossible to cover in a paragraph so I will write a separate post for that. After I came back from Switzerland there were 10 other employees that had joint the team and I were told to train them. The training lasted for two week when I finally found my calling. I understood that if I got an opportunity I could do really well as a trainer. I like to interact with lot of people and I have the right skills that make a good trainer.

So there came a time when the company had to make a team who would be responsible for Pre Process training. Basically the team had to train people to be ready for processing the real invoices. So the board asked the management for their suggestions and again my manager gave the chance. He told me that he could see my happiness in the training profile. “I hope you will find satisfaction out here”. And yes since I have been a trainer I have been never been bored. It is an amazing experience for me so far and I am determined to learn more which help me better.
And that’s how an associate who was never satisfied in what he was doing found satisfaction. I will surely tell about everything that I have learned as a trainer so far. Thank you for reading the post I hope that you liked it. Comment down your thoughts on this I will be pleased to hear from you.
