There is a church near where we live and I have only ever seen it from the road, but it looks great.
I decided to try and take some nice pictures of it.
The building itself is amazing and it is really well maintained, I believe by a group of local volunteers. Whilst I am an Atheist myself, I can respect others beliefs and can see that many churches are amazing buildings.
The windows in particular are great!
The graveyard around the church is really well maintained as well. It is obviously a small band of very dedicated individuals who are committed to maintaining the church and surroundings.
The church always seems to be open to the public.
These pictures were taken with my usual Nikon D3400 and 18-55mm lens. I have never changed photos after taking them but I decided to change these into Black and White. I think it makes the subject very dramatic and I love the way they have come out.
I would be interested in comments whether people think this has worked or not and anything that I could have done better. I do have the original colour pictures as well as some others I may post later. I was considering doing a comparison post but decided on a simple B&W post initially.
