Hello my little and beloved Hivers who love illustration, design, and Kawaii things!
Today I feel nostalgic while I share with you this fanart of the animated series called As Told by Ginger, known only as Ginger in Spanish. This series by Nickelodeon is part of "the cartoons of my childhood" alongside with Ah Monsters!, The Wild Thornberrys, Rugrats, Rocket Power, among others.
Recently I was remembering it and had a vague remembrance that it was a rather realistic children's cartoon. As Told by Ginger is about the life of Ginger, a girl that we get to know throughout the series and that we see growing up little by little, until she is a teenager and then an adult in the final chapter.
It features romance, drama, comedy and tragedy. I also remembered that I hadn't seen the whole series, so I did some Ginger marathons and loved it. Even though many chapters don't really show very interesting things, it's fun to follow little Ginger's life.
As for the animation, I love that both the sets and the characters have different colored outlines and not all black as we are used to seeing.
I hope you like this fanart of Ginger, Dodie and Macie. By the way, I had a hard time deciding how to dress them because in the series they wear several outfits. In the end I decided to make a combination of some that were my favorites
Until next post!
