So it was an enjoyable ride on the coach through the Barmash pass, where we would be dropped off for a walk up to a small church in a small village on a big mountain.

Shit happens!!!!!

So we got off the bus, and strolled around this inconvenience , hoping the bus would catch us up at some point as we were still several miles away.

Still it was a chance to catch some of the breath taking scenery of the Nemercka Mountains, which form a natural border with Greece

"A bus A bus, my kingdom for a bus"; not to be confused with the Shakespearian iambic pentameter from Richard III. But the sentiment is the same.

Eventually the bus arrived and that ended what was turning into a route march. 20 minutes later........

........there was the destination, a 4 mile walk, classified as easy following quiet village roads and footpaths.

Our leader did give us some information about the church, but I didn't take it in, I was just glad to have survived getting here, ( memo to self: cancel the trip to Everest base Camp 2023).

Out of breath and sweating like Tony (baby killer and convicted sexual deviant) Blair every time there's an Iraq war 'leak' I was glad to get inside the cold old church, excuse the pun the cold air was heaven.

I think I took about 3,865 internal shots, I wanted to stay here, not because I had my road to Damascus moment, it was more 'fucking hell 4 miles back down those "quiet" country roads"

Here are a selection
