I knew about this game for a very long time, but I didn’t buy it, because many people hated it. They said that this game is buggy as hell and unplayable and so on...However lot of people from steemit wrote about it and well, I decided to buy it. I found that it has split-screen on Playstation 4 and that was a selling point for me, because I didn’t have anything to play with my dear girlfriend.
I will digress for a sec and I will describe what ARK: Survival Evolved is. Well this is actually not that easy. It is an open world action survival game, that can be played in offline mode or online with one hundred other players. You are a guy on island surrounded by wildlife and most importantly DINOSAURS! You have to collect resources, feed yourself to not die, craft many and many things and build an awesome house. The next important thing is that you can tame dinosaurs and even ride them as you can ride a horse. So in short, this is ARK.
As I said at the beggining, I didn’t want to buy this game, because I was told that it is a really bugy game and to be honest it really is. I encountered many sometimes funny bugs, but none of them ruined the game for me. However I bought the game mainly for a split-screen and yes I read reviews on split-screen and I have to say that it is really bad as reviews said. Resolution is downgraded and the text is unreadable and you cannot move away from your second player much futher. However I get it why it is like that, the game is pretty demanding on power of your console and honestly? I have not had such fun since the Minecraft.
The world is huge and I had to re-watch Jurassic park, because I once again fell in love with dinosaurs like I did when I was a kid. I know that I am at the beggining of this huge game even if i have about 40+ hours in it, but it is absolutely worth playing and exploring, because the world is huge and damn..When I met the triceraptor I was stunned. Occasionally I am mad at my girlfriend, because of her, my turtle-dino died :(. However we had so much fun playing, like we didn’t have for a very long time.
