Hello beautiful poets and poem lovers. It's time for the weekly prompt once again. Last week was on "Nature" and I have to say, I saw some beautiful poems. Let's do even better on this week's topic, 'totally worth it'!

Prompt: “Totally Worth It”

Not every journey starts with certainty. Sometimes we leap, stumble, or even crawl toward something we’re not sure will be worth it—until it is. For this prompt, reflect on a moment, decision, or experience that was tough, scary, exhausting, or uncertain... but in the end, totally worth it.

  • What did you risk or give up? Time, comfort, pride, a relationship, sleep, sanity?
  • What doubts did you wrestle with along the way? Show the inner conflict, the hesitation, or the setbacks that made you question if it was all a mistake.
  • What changed? What moment turned the tide? Was it a result, a feeling, a person, a word?
  • Why was it worth it? Was it a personal win, a lesson, a newfound strength, or simply the freedom that came after?

Bonus challenge: Don’t say the phrase “totally worth it” until the very last line—make us feel it first.

Tell the story through vivid moments, not just outcomes. Make us believe it was worth every second.
