While my next diary post is brewing, I thought I'd pop a some of my music up. Difficult to know where to start, really, as I do bounce around styles a bit within the electronic music milieu.
But I thought this may be an interesting one to start with, though. Night Tricks.
This came about as a result of wanting to do something creative with my Mum, who writes. I spent a lot of 2019 in Adelaide, and while I was over there I got an envelope through the post, stuffed with bits of poetry and prose. This poem - Night Tricks - was one of them. I had some rather mournful chords that I hadn't been able to do much with, so I propped the words up in front of my very makeshift (but crucially, very portable) 'studio' and let the tune develop.
We were both very pleased with what came out - and of course the video works best because you get the words along with the tune. It's remains one of my well-liked tracks, and is often in my most played - even without the words.
Of course the track is on all popular streaming sites as well if you like it enough to want to listen to there. Here's a couple of links to the more common ones...
