I believe it was about 3 weeks ago when I wanted to explore the White Lake area. This includes the trail in the forest and bog. It is located on the eastern side of Estonia, pretty much in the middle of nowhere.

First off, the hike started through the forest. I really liked the forest, the rails were pretty spectacular to walk on.

Sometimes the sun showed itself and created interesting lighting conditions.

A patch of birches in the middle of the pine forest.

As I read this should be a wolf trap that locals once used.

Finally, I made my way to the bog. Here you can see why this area is called a white lake...
The bog lakes that exist in this area are very shallow and the bottom consists of sand and clay which is white.
You can see it on my shots as well.

The sand and clay layer is around 1 to 2 meters deep.

This is the big white lake.

In the middle of the bog is and island with pine trees.

There is also a tree scratched by a bear. They do it to leave a mark of themselves. This indicates that some bear already controls this area and gives a glimpse of their size to other bears.

Imagine colliding with a big brown bear also walking on the boardwalks there.

Two final shots are captured from the top of the watchtower.

Today I'm hoping for thunderstorms to appear in my area( north or northeast Estonia), to get some nice photos. We have the right conditions, humid, hot weather with unstable air masses.

For the past week south and west Estonia have been ravaged by thunderstorms every day and I'm too jealous over that. At the moment thunderstorms are in central Estonia, lets hope for the best!!
