Yesterday I did a post about the Space center, of the areas usually off-limits to visitors. If you missed it you can see the post here. Today I'm showing you the stuff that I saw in the Kennedy space center visitor complex.
When we arrived there, I only took a couple of quick pics of what I ran past because I hurried to find my guide to get inside the real space center area.
Now after I was done with the real space center ( post mentioned above ) the time got so late that I only had a little over an hour left to explore this visitor center. This ruined my mood a little bit because I wanted to see everything but now had to make a hard choice of what to see and what to miss.
As you can see it was already getting dark.
I decided to go and see a space shuttle house.
Inside you can see a short movie about the shuttle missions, read about all of it and other things. Of course, after the movie, the wall goes up and you can see a real space shuttle Atlantis that went into space 27 times. It's so awesome to see something that actually flew in space.
Panorama of the shuttle, because it was too large to fit in one frame.
Replica of Hubble space telescope, it's massive.
This is a panorama of Atlantis shuttle cockpit.
There was so much reading and discovering to do but I only managed to see and read half of the stuff really. I should have at least photographed the writing to read later but I was not thinking right at the moment.
The last thing I was able to do in this Complex, was to go and see the old rockets stationed near the entrance. I had about 15 minutes left until the place closes.
Of course, there was a load of reading near every rocket, Fortunately I managed to speed read most of them and even take a couple of shots along the way. I loved the lighting at that time.
Overall I was out of mood when I left because there was so much yet to see in the Visitor Complex that I just missed due to lack of the time. At least I got to see the real Space center, I just didn't think that It takes the whole day. I have to go back to Florida at some point and back to this center to see everything I missed at that time.
