In November I visited one of the biggest national parks in Estonia, Matsalu national park in the western part of the country. The area where I amazingly never had been before, as far as I know at least. Why I went on traveling to this place was mostly due to the weather I wanted to enjoy. It was a rare event of sunshine in November, had to use the opportunity.
I already posted about the first place I visited in this national park. The next place on my list of things to see was a Keemu watchtower. Next to a watchtower, believe it or not, it's a bus stop that looks like this. I love the countryside bus stops, always made with effort, not like some glass pavilions in the city.
The tower itself was nothing too special but I still wanted to see and climb it. It had a closed room on the top.

The third location on my list I wanted to see was Suitsu watchtower. Directly translated to English it means smoke's watchtower. Near this tower were also beautiful fields I wanted to take a walk on and some forest hut too.
In the photo below you can see fishing huts next to the river.
This area is very low, almost on sea level. Forests and fields are quite new because all these areas emerged from the sea 500-1000 years ago.
The fields tend to be quite swampy, water does not drain well in this soil.
This is the forest hut I was able to see during my walk and took a closer look.
I was able to go inside too. If you are hiking long distances and camping then you can also sleep inside this hut, for free.
Having checked out the hut, I wanted to roam the fields a bit because they looked gorgeous, especially with the sunlight.
My walk over the fields didn't last very long because to ground got very swampy. In the photo below you can see the water on the field.
Finally, I also climbed the tower that I went to see. For some reason I don't have the photo of this tower itself, I guess I forgot to take one 馃榾. Originally this tower was built in 1979 but was renovated in 1998 and added some height, currently reaching 21 meters in length. Here are a couple of shots I took from the tower.
I should go back there sometime in the summer. In November all this place looked yellow. I wonder if it will be all green in the summer or still yellow by all the reeds on the fields.
