There is no perfect company, nor perfect management. I have been in this company for five years and more now. My experience on my first month was a struggle. I able to survive because my co-worker are approachable, nice and understanding. I need to include the "understanding" part because from my past experiences at work, my co-workers are not understanding, in a way that I look funny when I ask questions when I think it is just normal for a Newbie to do that. I told myself on the first day of work, I will never report again to work the next day if my co-workers are just like before.
I went to work the next day!
My job is not easy. I had information overload on my first months and they expect me to perform excellently. It has lots of reports and documents to prepare, and you have lots of people to call to verify those information before proceeding to delivery and shipment. I am on the Supply Chain Management, by the way. When it comes to loads of work, mine was so heavy. My salary was below average but I still continue because of the benefits.
What made me stay?
This is me on my first months of working there. I have full of hopes. It was not easy in my position but I choose to try not only for experience and salary, but because of the camaraderie I get from my co-department. They guided me a lot. They support me. They didn't blamee when I make mistakes but they explain to me the consequences of that mistakes. I grow as an individual and professional on my specific task because of the people around me.
The people around me support my humor. They are even funnier than me. They are all guided by wisdom and very humble. I appreciate when they are available to talk when it comes to suggestions, recommendations and best advise. They want others to learn and grow, seriously, on their field because if they master their job, they are great addition to the team. I want to be useful and an additional help so I accept all the challenges in order to learn. Now, I gained a specific position, hot an increase and loving the job despite the never ending struggle.
Loving this company for the benefits
As I had said, I am already in my 5th year in this company. I plan to stay long, but not quite long. This is because I appreciate what they are giving to their employees. I got a raised last year, I am still struggling despite the increase, but knowing that every month you have something to expect, a money you earned, a money that you pay for your monthly dues and the salary that you provide for your family is just enough to stay.
The company provided us 2 shots of vaccine and 2 booster, for free. It is required by the way. Every week we have a nasal swab to test if employees are positive to antigen that could be possible for Covid19. This is to protect others and to the infected to be isolated. They also provide us vitamins and face mask, for free. Some employees do have boarding house, especially those who live very far from the office.
Me and my co-worker will see to it that we will schedule a bonding day where we will talk outside of work while eating our favorite foods. It is our way of breaking free and breathing free from all the stress our job is doing to us.
Our manager, on the other hand, give us an opportunity to speak up about the challenges we are facing and I love the support they give, regardless if it is done immediately or not. In the picture above, I shared all of my problems and I was asking recommendation if they have good idea to make my work easier. I also address some problems from different department that I experience.
Sometimes, the management itself is giving us incentives in the form of dinner for department. After work we can have a chance to unwind with our team. On the picture above, we went to BGC.
Where can you see a President and the Vice President of a company mingle with employees, in our company, it does. In the picture is our former company President and Vice President. The former President is no longer in the company, and our Vice President is our new President. He is very approachable and like a dad to us.

This is when we held a small gathering because most of my co-worker are Army. Army is the name if BTS Fandom. I am so happy that most of my co-department loves BTS too. We did it during our break and we kept the decorations immediately.
That is me. I received a paparazzi picture on my messenger before and a co-worker snap this picture just to be able to capture my stuff toy Chimmy. I was focusing on my work when I received this one.
And these people, they are my closest co-workers. We all are all on our 5th year at the office. We help and support each other to grow professionally. Now we are the leaders in our own group and we are continue learning from each other.
Again, my company is not perfect. We have lots of problems everyday, but that is the meaning of our job. We are working to find solution to the problem. When there is no problem, we don't have work anymore. I guess I am the kind of person who stick my nose to struggle because there is always learning and grow. Blessed to be part of this company.
