But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. — Romans 13:14 (KJV).
When we put on clothes,it's visible to the eyes of everyone. People see the colors,the styles and the texture of the material. In the light of this analogy, it's time to put on Jesus Christ in our daily lives. Let Christ be seen in our appearance in terms of dressing. Let Christ be seen in our speech when we speak.
Let Christ be seen in our attitudes when we act. Let Christ be seen in our thoughts through our conscience. Let us consider Jesus Christ first before we make any decision. This is the way to victory in a world full of distractions.
It's important to note that if we put Christ out of our policies, the flesh and the lust thereof takes over without our permission. This is because nobody can operate without a master. We are either loyal to Christ or the flesh. That shows us how important it is to consciously choose who to submit to , and submission to one master puts the other out.
Brethren,do not make provision for the flesh by not putting on Christ in everything you do. Don't play with lust,for it is very destructive. Let the love of Christ be fulfilled in our lives and our hearts will be filled with peace. Let the world see Christ in our attitudes to life and towards people. Be a good ambassador to Jesus Christ today.
Are you already putting on Christ? Put on more of Him. Don't relax on yesterday's glorious experience. There's room for more of Him.
Are you struggling with the flesh? Make a decision to be Christ -like today,cry out to Him for help and He'll deliver you from destruction.
Abba father, help us to put on Christ and shut the doors of our lives against the flesh and lustful desires,in Jesus's name. Amen.
