Hi, friends! How are you doing today/tonight? Trusting you are fine, I want to air out my views on apology, it's importance, who to apologize and when to apologize.
Telling someone 'I'm sorry' can end a life long argument and malice. For instance, you mistakenly matched someone's feet while rushing to buy things at the busy street. Now, it could be justified that someone matched you the other day and to you it's not a big deal. What isn't a big deal to you might be a giant deal to the other person, just say I'm sorry.
Now, it requires humility to say the words 'I'm sorry'. As long as you believe you are right, you will not apologize. Come to think of it! Do we really have the right to cause people any pain? The only right we have is to take care of people around us. So, the wise thing to do when your attitude wasn't caring enough is to apologize. Don't allow people bear grudges against you. Don't bend on having your way. Avoid the trouble, just say 'sorry'.
Everyone owes apology to anyone they ever offended. Some times we think we are too big to apologize because our status in society is higher than that of people we offended. That mindset is governed by pride and it only lead to a fall. No matter who we offended, we must apologize. At times we offend our employees, drivers, spouse, leaders,etc. Everyone deserve our respect and apology. Don't hold it back, for the future is very unpredictable. We might miss opportunity in future because we refused to say I'm sorry to someone we felt not worthy to be regarded. We reduce people's trust of our integrity when we refuse to apologize. Most times, people mark us as arrogant because we refused to accept our faults. So many people don't feel save with people that can't say I'm sorry. I must tell you, those words 'I'm sorry' are magical words. It can even make a pretender to look truthful.
Immediately we commit any offense, we should apologize. This is because, if we don't, we cause pains from that moment till we apologize. Supposed you offended someone in 2016 and till now you haven't gone back to apologize, that person might still live in that pain till now. So, it's wrong to allow moments pass before apologizing.
