We were nominated by canadianrenegade@canadianrenegade to participate in this challenge and thought it was a really good challenge to do. We're pretty new to challenges on here, so bear with us. I think we're going to do ours in a few different types of media, so let's get this show on the road.

We are grateful that we live a lifestyle that is without financial stress.

It's not that we make a lot of money, or inherited a sum from a dead relative, it's that we don't require much in the way of things.

Gerri does as much of our shopping as she can at thrift stores, which saves us a lot of money. We have older vehicles that, while not fancy or pretty, are paid for and other than insurance and maintenance, don't cost us much at all. We also only use one of them regularly, but keep the other for when someone might come and visit and take a tour up the Alaska Highway or something.

We don't take lavish vacations or eat out very much. Our vacation is usually camping in Jasper National Park or Liard Hot Springs. We also make our coffee at home and pack lunches instead of going out to eat. Living in a small, northern town helps a lot. We have two restaurants and one is only open limited hours and not on the weekend. Maybe once a year we go to Williston Lake Resort for a beautiful date night.

It probably seems like a pretty crappy life to a lot of people, but the fact that our mortgage is only about $850/month over twelve years means that we can plug our ears with the money we save and don't have to listen to how big a bunch of hillbillies we are. it also means that we can sock a bit away for when we do get to buy our property to homestead on.

Thank you for reading this far and we'd like to nominate ewasteguy1@ewasteguy1 hopfarmnc@hopfarmnc and maverickinvictus@maverickinvictus to join in the challenge.

Mention three people who should do this on each day.
Tag it with #7daypositivitychallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post Include a picture of something positive (related to your story if possible.)
Tip: You need to put the # in front of 7daypositivitychallenge or it will not let you use the tag.
