If I Hit One Million Dollars

One of the basic things everyone needs is money or more money. Our world is ruled by money; to survive, you need it, to grow, you need it, and to render help to others, you also need it.

Money is so vital in our society that the need for it can not be overemphasized. Sadly, to make it is not easy.

In the heart of everyone is the silent desire to make so much money that it would totally eliminate lack from their lives and that of their loved ones permanently.

This is why people work hard and take all manner of financial risks. They try, and fail, yet they don't give up.

Life without money is not a nice thing, and we are not just talking about a kind of money that only supports living from hand to mouth.

We are talking about something that can take one out of poverty forever. It's quite unfortunate that our jobs are somehow not designed to give people that liberty.

Most salary jobs are survival funds; the best they can do is settle basic needs, but to bring the dream of living a life of luxury and comfort, they can not guarantee it.

I am not a gambler, and I have not tried taking any financial risk that promises a huge amount of money. But assuming I suddenly win one million dollars ($1,000,000,000), I don't know what my reaction would be.

The whole thing would look like a dream to me at first, and I would cross-check the figure on different occasions to be sure I was not truly dreaming.

That's close to over one billion in naira. Do you know what that means? My chase and struggle for a financial breakthrough just got solved. It would now be left for me to use it wisely in order not to go broke again.

Funny enough, even if I don't do any work but decide to spend that money alone with my family, I am sure it can take us three or four years.

Meanwhile, if that money enters my account and it is truly mine, the first thing I'll do is invest in physical assets.

I will buy as many pieces of land as possible. Then venture into animal and crop farming on a large scale.

There's an orphanage in my town. I will build a nice and comfortable house for them and ensure that every child there is well taken care of. I may place all the children on scholarship throughout their secondary school.

The crypto market seems to be dying lately, but trust me, I will buy some crypto assets and hold. No one can tell what the market can do in the next few years.

I will give my Mommy some money to start up a nice business since she loves trading. I will also support some of my friends who don't have any jobs with money to start up life.

I don't know much about shares in banks, but trust me, I will buy shares. Then, finally, I will start up a car business for myself.

Will I travel abroad? I don't really know, if business opportunities call, I will, but traveling for fun is something I don't really have at heart for now.

These are all dreams; the bitter truth is that one may not necessarily have so much money like this throughout their lives, but that doesn't mean one can not achieve their dreams.

With the little one earns, when God blesses the person and the person is ready to plan and chase their dreams, they can achieve so much, even more than those who have wealth in abundance.
