The closer the day gets, the more there is a race against time to finish what we started and get back to base, for man's life might depend on this decision forever as the virus spreads further deep into the mainland and bunker which has always been our safe refuge, also becomes infected. Nowhere to run and scarcity of vaccine, the last of us went for the world beyond the stars, where another life could thrive.
It was on getting there that we found the least horror: the virus was waiting for us there, it's also part of the ecosystem.
