Finished up the background for the last double page, now just one single page and that's that :) Tried to make the corals nice and bright so they really pop a bit and give off a happy kind of vibe, our main character meets his friend here for the first time. Now back to the arts to finally finish this book up hahaha... Acrylic and ink on watercolor paper.
Here is the first sketch... I knew that there was going to be coral on the left side so I didn't bother with drawing it, just more of a character placement...
And then after the sketch, this was the mini painting/color study, and this is what I really based the big guy off of....
