I was always attracted to bright and shiny objects, and my interest began when I was a young lad of 7. That was when I was at my first charity bazaar and bought my first piece of jewellery.
I had lived in a small town on the St Lawrence seaway for my younger years, Prescott Ontario, before moving to Peterborough when my dad landed a job with Generous Electric. Peterborough was a nice city back then, don't know what it's like now. My fascination and interest in gems, silver and precious things continued to grow and expand; but it wasn't until I moved to Ottawa at the age of 18 that I came across a Wiccan Shop and started to frequent it for knowledge, tumbled gems, and bought a few books on the subject of crystals and gems from them.
At that point my interest grew even deeper; I bought a book by Scott Cunningham called the Power of Gems or something similar, it did more harm than good now that I look back on it. It was poorly written, lacked any real or helpful information on healing with them. Ultimately as more publications hit the market, the research continued to improve to the point that issues of health were being addressed.
Scott Cunnigham was very lucky, he was the first in the 1980's to publish a book on the subject, but his knowledge was base, vulgar and materialistic. He had the audacity to write a 2nd book on the subject on which he added a few new stones, and after the title the article read no information available. Thankfully more and better authors came along who did the work, researched it and published it, perhaps the best know of all in the current age is Judy Hall who extensively researched her work and the effect of gems and crystals for healing purposes, both physical and mental. Her book is called THE Crystal Bible, I learned a lot of useful information from that book, and it inspired to design my own pieces and later attempt to write my own manuscript on the subject matter.
I met a publisher in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia who took an interest in my work and she actually became a client of mine, as I later became a client of hers. Cindy represented my manuscript and sent it to their head office in Singapore; but as luck was not on my side it coincided with the GW Bush Jr's market crash of 2008; and you could buy books for 10% of their original selling price, I know why my manuscript wasn't published, the economic realities made that abundantly clear; however, I was able to buy a lot of good books for my personal use as a consequence, and even another book on Crystal Healing which I found to be a valuable reference guide as well.
Cindy had an acute skin allergy, and after hundreds of doctor's visits all to avail she came to me, through another friend of mine, I listened to her problems, this was prior to 2008, did some research and brought fixes for her, which seemingly had some success. I applied my knowledge of skincare and the nervous system on treating her issues, also from my experience of treating someone in Connecticutt who had scalp cysts, with similar experiences with 100 or more useless doctors who took the money but provided no fix.
Years later, about 2011 I was at a mall to socialize with my friends and a man came up to me and tapped me on the shoulder and said "are you Gordon" I replied yes, but my mother told me not to talk to strangers!" I caught him by surprise, and he introduced himself as Cindy's uncle. Oh great, small world I said, so he went on to say thank you, he said Cindy is now free of her allergies thanks to your efforts. So, it was a cordial exchange which actually made my day that much better.
Well, that's my story, and hopefully conveys the message of how I got into Healing with this medium. It's my passion and it brings me a great deal of joy to help people to overcome their health problems in a natural way.
I've just recently within the past few years begun to dabble with essential oils, I won't take a pill in any form, and have not since I had a bad case of the trembles in 2005 after I took a cold and flu pill for a severe case of food poisoning; it was at that point I discovered the value of pearls for setting the stomach. You can get food poisoning anywhere and I've found that packing Pearls on every trip makes me more confident in the event of that happening. That was my own discovery, and I've found it quite useful and tested it also on others who have enjoyed success with their effectiveness.
I'm sorry if my first article is a bit jumbled, it's been a while since I've written anything.
