Happy Life Steemians! I just made a poem consisting some group of idioms. The poem is about love because the sweet scent of valentine's is still in the air.
The painting is not mine
These are the idioms that I used:
Barking up the wrong tree- To make a wrong assumption
Curiosity killed the cat - used to warn for anyone who's acting really curious towards in a situations
Drastic times call for drastic measure -Exerting desperate actions or extreme moves in facing a difficult situations
Hit the nail on the head - It refers in describing accurately the exact cause of the certain problem or situation
Beat a hasty retreat - Quickly leaving or running away in a certain place in order to avoid unfortunate circumstances.
So here it goes...
Astounded By You
As I end up barking the wrong tree
I found myself in a landscape free
Curiosity killed the cat, I thought
And somehow I end up in a knot
Drastic times call for drastic measure
Then I found my word's greatest treasure
I hit the nail on the head, I say,
And found my eyes looking in his way
I went to face him beat a hasty retreat
because I couldn't help looking in his way,
I smiled to him and say,
Hey! Happy Valentine's Day, today
