Hello community! Today I’m here to show you a drawing I worked on between yesterday and today. I couldn't finish it sooner because my phone ran out of battery while filming, so I completed the video today. For this piece, I wanted to create a setting with Baroque and Gothic vibes, adding a modern twist by including a spotlight (reflector). I wanted it to feel like a cinematic scene, keeping the extreme contrast I’ve been exploring in my recent work.
I applied the Baroque touch to the sofa, filling it with grey tones and black lines to give it a worn-out, antique feel. As for the spotlight, I added details like cables and plugs to emphasize the modern aesthetic. Finally, I gave the girl a sword so she would exude power, even in a pose that feels vulnerable. Hola comunidad, hoy vengo a mostrarles un dibujo que realicé entre ayer y hoy; no lo terminé antes porque mi teléfono se quedó sin batería mientras grababa, así que continué con el video hoy. Para este dibujo, quise crear una escenografía con aires barrocos y góticos, pero con un toque de modernismo al añadir un reflector (spotlight). Mi intención es que se sienta como una escena casi cinematográfica, manteniendo el contraste extremo que le estoy dando a mis obras últimamente.
El toque barroco se lo di al sofá, llenándolo de detalles en tonos grises y líneas negras para transmitir una sensación de desgaste y antigüedad. En cuanto al reflector, añadí detalles de cables y enchufes para reforzar esa estética moderna. Finalmente, le incluí una espada para que la chica proyectara poder, equilibrando su pose vulnerable.
