I live in a rural area in between a few small towns. Not Hollywood small towns, but actual small towns, with populations of anywhere between 100 and 600 residents. We live on what some people would term as a "hobby farm," but when I think of "hobby," origami or bird watching come to mind - or at least things which are relaxing, and are done on one's own free time. While our farm is considered small, in reality it isn't something we do for "fun," - it's actually more of our way of life, which we share with a menagerie of animals - including cows,
Chickens (like the one that lives on our porch),
A few good horses (plus mine, Stanley),
A couple of dogs, a couple of goats and the normal array of farm cats, as well as Lucky (the two-legged-tailless-cat-of-irony)
While we may not do what we do for fun, we often have fun doing it. I enjoy sharing stories and pictures of our lives, and am glad for the opportunity to do it here.
