Hey everyone,
it's been exactly one year since I first heard of Steem. My best mate Michael told me about cryptos and that "Bitcoin is not only used to buy drugs on the internet" 😂Looking back I can just laugh about myself. What a dumbass I was.
To be fair, what convinced me to dive full into crypto was the concept of Steem. I mean why are we not getting paid by Facebook or Instagram for every post? It's the wrong people making money with our content.
The more I researched about cryptocurrencies and tokens, the more I started believing. I see huge potential in the world for blockchain adaption. Especially in parts of the world where currencies are unstable and high transaction fees are a huge deal.
Apart from my new found love for crypto I finished my Master in Digital Management in Germany last year. To be honest I did not really see myself stare at a computer from 9 to 5 after all. So eventually I ditched my old life in Germany and started traveling around Southern Africa.
I love this part of the world. There is so much to discover. Like this time I went freediving with dolphins in Mozambique.
Or another time when an elephant approached us calmly while we were sitting on the roof of our jeep with a glass of whiskey.
It's those kind of adventures that I love and that I want to share with you on Steem.
I was wondering if you have traveled to Southern Africa as well and if you have story to share? And if you are from any country in Africa, I would love to connect with you!
Best greetings from Cape Town,
goon
